About MoveYourCode

We believe everyone should have the freedom to stay in control of what they've built.

Our mission

Things that used to require weeks of development and a fair amount of technical knowledge can now be done by almost anyone, sometimes in just a few hours.

Platforms like Lovable, Replit and many others have made it very easy to get started. That's a good thing. More people can turn their ideas into actual products without hiring developers or spending months learning how to code.

But there's one thing we should never forget as users: these platforms are businesses, often backed by huge amounts of capital, and above all, they act in their own interests.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with that. But their business interests won't always align with yours. Prices can increase, features can become restricted, terms can change and entire products can take a completely different direction. And when moving away is too complicated or expensive, you might simply have to accept whatever comes next.

At the same time, new AI tools appear almost every week. What seems like the best solution today might be far from it in six months. Limiting yourself to one platform could mean missing out on better, cheaper or simply more suitable alternatives.

And that's why we started MoveYourCode.

Everyone should have control over their own projects and the freedom to choose what happens to them next. We want to make moving between platforms, development tools and hosting providers easier, even for people without technical experience.

Not everyone needs to switch platforms, but everyone should have the option.

Who's behind MoveYourCode?

MoveYourCode was created by the team behind PanelAlpha, the simplest way to deploy and manage projects on your own server.

We believe in what we're building, but we also believe everyone should know their options. That's why MoveYourCode helps people find the best solution for their projects, even if it's not PanelAlpha.
