Where to host a Lovable app: Vercel, Cloudflare or your own VPS

Lovable hosts your app for you. If you want your own domain without a Lovable plan, more control or a host you already use, there are three real options. Which one fits depends first on which kind of Lovable app you have.

VPSThree hosts for a Lovable app

First: which kind of app you have

Apps made in Lovable since 13 May 2026 use TanStack Start. They run server code and need a host that runs it. Older apps use React and Vite and build to static files that any host can serve. Open package.json in your repository. If it lists @tanstack/react-start, it is a TanStack Start app.

Keep Lovable hosting

You can edit the app with Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and still publish it from Lovable. GitHub sync brings your changes into Lovable. This is the shortest move, and it needs a paid Lovable plan only if you want a custom domain.

Vercel

Import the GitHub repository in Vercel and click Create Project. Vercel detects the framework, and every push to the main branch deploys again. Lovable lists Vercel for both kinds of app.

The free Hobby plan is for personal, non-commercial use. An app that makes money needs Pro at $20 a month, with traffic and server time above the included amounts billed by use.

Cloudflare Pages

Create a Pages project from the GitHub repository with the React (Vite) preset, npm run build and the output folder dist. Every push to the main branch deploys again, and the app gets a .pages.dev address.

Static files are free on every plan with no request limit, so an older Vite app can run there for free, also when it makes money. Server code shares the free Workers limit of 100,000 requests a day. Your main domain (without www) works only when Cloudflare also runs its DNS.

Your own VPS with PanelAlpha

You rent a VPS from a hosting company and PanelAlpha Engine runs the app on it. Your AI tool deploys the app, and the engine detects the framework, builds it and gives it an address with HTTPS. A GitHub webhook then deploys every push. The server runs Node.js, so both kinds of app fit.

WhatYou need
SystemDebian 12 or 13, or Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04 or 26.04
Memory2 GB of RAM or more
NetworkA public IPv4 address
AccessRoot login over SSH
The VPS must be brand new. The engine takes it over, so never use one that already runs a website.

What changes on any new host

  • Logins: add the new address to the Site URL and redirect URLs, or login sends people back to Lovable.
  • Your domain: change its DNS records once the app works on the address the host gave it.
  • The .env file: the host reads the public Supabase values from it at build time. Build again after you change them.
  • Secrets stay in the backend, never in .env.
